safeENGIN is based upon existing SMS card management services provided by M2 Financial to subscribing debit card holders. The service is provided free of charge to the cardholder.
safeENGIN simplifies the sending of card management requests. Existing SMS users will find the same services currently available via SMS. This includes: XFER, LOCK/UNLOCK, SAFE, SAFEPIN, and BALINQ. All services are provided in an easier to remember and use form. Responses appear as the familiar text currently available today.
safeENGIN also adds a layer of security in that sensitive data is not retained as it may be in a text exchange.
SMS transaction alerts will still be delivered via text message. Additionally, subscribers can elect to use safeENGIN or the classic SMS keyword commands. Both will continue to be supported.
